Design
The 2025 Honda X-ADV boasts sharper, more aggressive bodywork with new rugged fairings featuring sharp angles and creases. It benefits from new dual LED projector headlights with integrated daytime running lights and indicators, using Honda's 'hidden eye' technique to enhance visibility.
The automaker has also incorporated sustainable materials into the bodywork, such as recycled plastics and biomass plastic (Durabio), marking the first use of these materials in Honda motorcycles. The panels and covers are made from recycled plastic while recycled Honda automobile bumpers are used for the seat base and luggage box.
The colour palette of the bike includes three standard colours - Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White, and Matte Deep Mud Gray, along with a Special Edition Matte Gold Finch Yellow with a dual-tone livery.
Comfort and convenience
The seat of the new Honda X-ADV is reshaped with thicker urethane for improved comfort and easier ground reach. The windshield has been redesigned, enabling easy adjustment through three steps using one hand. The 820 mm seat height offers improved ergonomics, with a wider handlebar for better visibility.
The scooter also gets a new cruise control system that integrates smoothly with the DCT, improving comfort during long rides. The 22-litre under-seat storage compartment now features a USB-C charging point and can hold a full-face helmet. As for additional storage, customers also get a glovebox.
Technology
The 2025 Honda X-ADV features a new 5-inch full-colour TFT screen with improved sunlight readability and three customizable display patterns - Bar, Circle, and Simple. The system supports Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity that enables turn-by-turn navigation, music, and voice call management via Bluetooth.
There is also an updated Smart Key system for ignition, fuel cap, seat, and optional Smart Top Box control. The rear indicators now come with self-canceling Emergency Stop Signals.
Engine and transmission
The adventure scooter runs on the same 745-cc parallel twin-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 57.8 hp and a peak torque of 69 Nm. This familiar engine comes mated to a new 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission offering smoother low-speed control. It is integrated with four Throttle By Wire modes - Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel, along with a customisable USER mode for fine-tuning performance settings.
Suspension and braking
The chassis of the new X-ADV remains the same as the outgoing model, featuring 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels. The suspension duties are handled by 41 mm USD forks at the front and a Monoshock damper with a Prolink swingarm at the rear. The front braking setup features radial-mounted four-piston brake callipers with 296 mm floating double discs, while the rear is equipped with a single-piston calliper and a 240 mm single disc. These are complemented by a two-channel ABS.
The new Honda X-ADV will hit European showrooms in a few weeks, and we can expect its arrival in Malaysia next year.
