LEGO comes with Ducati Panigale V4 R kit, with a functional gearbox
KUALA LUMPUR: Denmark’s toy giant, Lego, has covered the world of cars very well. From Bugatti to Porsche to Dom's Charger, it has got the crazy versions of all speed champion cars. However, the motorbikes arena is still less unexplored by the brand. But now, Lego has collaborated with the Italian bikemaker, Ducati, and added one more big name in the list of vehicles that one can build from Lego bricks. It has created a scaled model of the Ducati Panigale V4 R for its advanced Technic™ series.
The licensing agreement recently signed between the two groups results in the little bright red motorcycle, which you can see in the images. “Unique of its kind, the first-ever brick reproduction of a Ducati motorcycle expresses and respects the values of ‘Style, Sophistication, and Performance’ that characterize the brand,” Ducati claimed.
LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R set contains 646 individual pieces. While In terms of dimensions, it is 32 cm long, 16 cm high, and 8 cm wide.
While developing the model, both the companies have been able to bring the highest possible realism for the kit and created the first-ever Technic™ bike with a working gearbox simulating different speeds and riding techniques. The steering, front suspension, rear suspension, disc brakes, all work together and provide a surprisingly realistic feel. While the fine red body and kickstand make it a perfect display piece for Ducati enthusiasts.
“The thrill of the engine roar, the adrenaline of acceleration and the riding position in tackling curves, combined with a breath-taking design; anyone who has ever imagined riding this motorcycle symbol of Italian engineering will love building the LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R set,” the firm claimed.
"It will be fantastic to discover how the innovative 2-speed gearbox, exclusive to this new LEGO reproduction, activates the V4 engine, as well as trying the innovative and original front and rear suspension, to simulate a GP ride and feel like an official Ducati rider.”
Building and creating the set will be an exciting experience for anyone irrespective of their age. For that matter, it is meant for the people aged ten and above. It will be available from June at Ducati showrooms and online shops as well as LEGO physical and online stores, with a price tag of €59.99 (RM 285).
