Kuala Lumpur Bike Show 2023: Suzuki Avenis 125 scooter revealed, launch soon

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki has unveiled an all-new compact scooter, the Avenis 125, at the Kuala Lumpur Bike Show, which will soon make its way to the Malaysian market. 

The Suzuki Avenis 125 scooter is powered by a 124-cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is tuned to generate 8.7 PS of maximum output at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The transmission duties are handled by a CVT gearbox.

Against the measuring tape, the latest Suzuki scooter measures 1,895 mm in length, 710 mm in width, and 1,175 mm in height and carries a wheelbase of 1265 mm. The ground clearance is measured at 160 mm. 

With a seat height of 780 mm, the Suzuki Avenis offers a convenient position to riders. The scooter weighs 106 kg, which makes it easy to manoeuvre. The fuel tank capacity is 5.2 litres.

The all-new Suzuki Avenis 125 comes equipped with an apron-mounted LED headlight, turn indicators, and sharp body panels. It rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels, which are combined with 90/90-section and 90/100-section tyres, respectively.

While Suzuki Malaysia is yet to announce the Avenis 125 price, industry estimates suggest it could be around RM 8000.
