Kawasaki Z900RS SE updated for coming model year
KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Kawasaki has updated the Z900 SE for the model year 2022. The motorcycle now features a new colour scheme (reminding us of the 1970’s Kawasaki Z1), Ohlins rear mono-shock with a turned exhaust note that offers the rider ‘an aural experience’.
What powers the 2022 Kawasaki Z900RS SE?
The motorcycle sources its power from an 848cc, liquid-cooled four-cylinder inline unit that generates a maximum power of 111 hp at 8,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 98.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a 6-speed, slipper clutch and assist equipped gearbox.
Braking and handling
The new Z900RS SE features a twin 300 mm diameter semi-floating disc and radical-mount four-piston callipers at the front, activated by a radial brake master cylinder. The suspension, on the other hand, is taken care of by upside-down 41 mm diameter fully adjustable forks and the new Ohlins monoshock.
