KUALA LUMPUR: Kawasaki’s long-running nameplate Z1 will complete its 50th year of existence in 2022 and the Japanese automaker has big plans to celebrate this milestone. Back in November, Kawasaki released a trailer across social media showcasing a stylized profile drawing of a naked motorcycle with a “Z 50th” badge. Well, now we heard that the automaker launched an all-new website to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the flagship motorcycle.

The Z1 grabbed the tag of MCN’ Machine of the Year’ from 1973 to 1976. And over the next couple of years, it became popular for its iconic design and bright Candy Apple Red colour scheme, which is called “Fireball Ice”. It was also the first successful street bike featuring a double tubular street cradle frame, 18-litre fuel tank, rear swingarm, and more.
