KUALA LUMPUR: Kawasaki launched the Ninja ZX-25R back in 2020 and since then the motorcycle has been introduced in several Asian countries including the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

The quarter-litre screamer received new, striking hues just last year in Indonesia. The new colourway lists -

• Lime Green
• Metallic Spark Black
• Passion Red
• Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey

For the model year 2023, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R benefits from a new electronic package and equipment along with an all-new Ninja ZX-25RR variant. For now, the revisions are limited to the Indonesian market.

The all-new Ninja NX-25RR retails for IDR 129,900,000 (approx. RM 39K).

Powertrain

Powering the all-new Ninja Kawasaki NX-25RR is a 249.8cc inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine generating maximum power of 51 hp at 15,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 22.9 Nm at 14,500 rpm. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is claimed to attain a max speed of 197 kmph.

Features

The old semi-digital metre is replaced with a new TFT instrument cluster, a new dash, Kawasaki Rideology app (which connects the rider’s smartphone with the bike).

Braking & Handling

Kawasaki has equipped the NX-25RR with a new fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP 37 mm at the front and the rear is fitted with an adjustable horizontal black-link BFRC litre gas-charged shock. Also present is a new exhaust system that meets Euro 4 emission standards.

Riding Dynamics

Enhancing the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR’s riding experience are several features like assist & slipper clutch, power modes, Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, economical riding indicator, and electronic throttle valve.
