Kawasaki motorcycle models 650cc & below rebranded under Modenas

KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), a subsidiary of MODENAS, is now the new distributor of Kawasaki motorcycles in Malaysia. The move is a result of Kawasaki’s increase of equity share in Modenas. This led to the rebranding of all Kawasaki motorcycles with a displacement of 650 cc and below to be rebranded under Modenas.

Kawasaki is returning to the market by reintroducing three of its most popular offerings in the sports and naked bike segment - the Modenas Ninja 250, the Modenas Ninja 250 ABS, and the Modenas Z 250 ABS.

Roslan Roskan, CEO of MODENAS on reintroduction said,"We at MODENAS are very proud to share the same ethos with KAWASAKI in prioritizing customers which will enable and ensure that all our customers get affordable, quality and technology-driven products. Time to shed a little information on the reintroduced Kawasaki models -

All the three re-introduced models, the Ninja 250, Ninja 250 ABS, and Z 250 ABS, are powered by a 249cc two-cyl, DOHC engine making a maximum power of 37.3 PS at 12,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 23 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox with chain and wet, multi-disc clutch.
