Is Yamaha on a spree to update its models?

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha Malaysia never stays calm, the brand stays busy planning new models and updates for its customers. It was only last month that the company launched the 2022 Yamaha 135LC Fi, prior to that we got the updated 2022 X-Max 250. Not to forget the price update (it counts in change, right) HLYM gave to the Ego series, NMax, and NVX.

Moving on to the present day, Yamaha Malaysia’s social media platform tells us that the brand’s ever-popular and famous supercub, the Yamaha Y15ZR enjoys an update for the model year 2022. Don’t worry, no price hike this time (the model got one back in 2020 from RM 8,168 to its current price RM 8,498).

So, what’s new with the 2022 Yamaha Y15ZR?

Yamaha Malaysia has introduced new colour options and graphics to this stunner. Thus, making the deal all the more attractive for buyers. Who can now choose the Y15ZR in any of the following colour choices - Cyan, Blue, Silver, and Green.

Out of the four new colour choices the Silver one caught our eye the most. Mainly because of its stunning pairing with Red finished alloy wheels. However, the other options look no less and in the end, it’s a matter of one’s personal choice.

Any other changes? No, everything else, the features, specifications remain the same as earlier. Speaking of which, let’s brush our knowledge on the subject, starting with the supercub’s mechanical & factual details.
