Honda Malaysia introduces new hues for the 2023 Rebel cruiser

KUALA LUMPUR: First introduced in Malaysia in 2017, the Honda Rebel is a stylish and versatile cruiser motorcycle known for its distinctive design and performance capabilities. Well, this cruiser bike has just received an update in the form of new colour options.

The 2023 Honda Rebel is available in three new exciting tones: Candy Diesel Red, Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Smoky Grey. These replace the previously available Pearl Organic Green, Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, and Graphite Black shades.

With the colour upgrade comes a slight increase in the price. The Honda Rebel is now priced at RM 33,899 (excluding road tax, insurance, or registration). Included in the price is a 2-year or 20,000 km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first).

The Honda cruise bike continues to feature the same engine setup at its core. That includes a 471-cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch system. The said mill is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 45.59 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

Other key highlights of the 2023 Honda Rebel are - 

• All-LED lighting
• LCD instrument cluster with white backlight
• A low seat height (690 mm) making the cruiser easy to manage within low gears
• Telescopic forks at the front and Showa shock absorbers at the rear
• Single hydraulic disc on both ends complemented by anti-lock Braking System 
• 16-inch wheel wrapped with 130/90 front and 150/80 rear tyres
