Honda Hawk 11 to be available outside Japan soon

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Hawk 11 quickly became a crowd favorite when it first made its global debut in 2022 at the Osaka Motorcycle Show. Back then the neo-retro motorcycle was introduced as a Japan-limited motorcycle.

However, now the table seems to have turned as the Hawk 11 is making its way toward the global market, as confirmed by the latest patent application filed by Intellectual Property India.

As for the timeline, on Aug 2,2022, Honda filed the design application and the same was published publicly in the IP India Patent and Design Journal on Dec 9,2022. However, Honda is yet to officially announce its plan to introduce the Hawk 11 in markets outside Japan.

Though it all makes the arrival probability of the Hawk 11 a little bit dicey, a patent application might also mean something else than the motorcycle making an official release in a country. But with fingers crossed, we hope the Honda Hawk 11 steps outside its home country and enters other countries as well.

A little bit about the Honda Hawk 11 -

Engine: Powering the Hawk 11 is a 1,082 cc parallel-twin engine making a maximum power of 100 bhp at 7,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 104 Nm at 6,250 rpm.

Transmission: The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox, making the entire setup similar to that of the Honda Africa Twin.

Features: The neo-racer features circular LED headlamps with a bikini fairing, a single-piece seat, and a short tail section.

Braking & Handling: Underpinned by the NT1100 platform, the motorcycle features an upside-down fork at the front with a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by dual front disc brakes.
