Honda Dash 125 launched in Malaysia priced at RM 5,999
KUALA LUMPUR: Boon Siew Honda has announced a replacement to the seven years old renowned Honda Wave Dash 110. The ageing model has been renamed as the Honda Dash 125 and features everything that one would expect from such an underbone. The Dash 125 has received significant updates in terms of its performance as well as design.
The Honda Dash 125 as the name suggests is powered by a 125cc engine with outputs of 9.8 hp at 8000 rpm and 9.54 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. The two-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine is fuelled by Honda’s PGM-FI. A four-speed gearbox drives a chain to power the rear wheel.
The new Dash 125 has an underbone chassis frame, conventional telescopic front suspension, and twin shock absorber at the rear which are adjustable for preload. The new model comes with a hydraulic disc brake up the front and disk or drum brake at the rear depending on the model. The Honda Dash 125 weighs only 103 kgs, which is an impressive number.
The styling of the new Dash 125 has also been substantially improved to increase the aesthetic value. With the Dash 125, users get LED headlights, new speedometer, improved mirror design, sports rim, and new leg shields. Both self and kick start options available in this new Honda product.
The available color options include Pearl Nightfall Blue, Vivacity Red, Pearl Magellanic Black, and Repsol Edition. The color options give the Honda Dash 125 a new feel that goes apt with the upgraded specification.
Speaking during the launch event, MD and CEO of Boon Siew Honda, Mr Keiichi Yasuda said that higher CC market was highly competitive due to increasing consumer demand. He also added that the company was committed to offering top-notch riding experience.
The all new Dash 125 will feature as the racing machine of the Honda One-Make Race in the Malaysia Cub Prix. To make things even more exciting, Honda appointed Zaqhwan Zaidi as the new ambassador for the Dash 125.
The Honda Dash 125 single disc brake model is priced at RM 5,999. The double-disc brake model will be available for RM 6,299, whereas the Repsol Edition will be sold for RM 6,499. The delivery of the motorcycles will begin at the dealerships later in the week. The company will offer a manufacturing warranty for 20,000 km or two-years.
