Honda CB250R now offers greater ride comfort

KUALA LUMPUR: A comfortable motorcycle is all a rider needs, and Honda endlessly tries to make the experience better for its buyers. This time, the motorcycle manufacturer has given one of its existing units a mild upgrade to enhance the journey.

The model in question is the Honda CB250R that went on sale in Malaysia last year. Priced at RM 22,999, this quarter-litre neo-retro bike has only been upgraded for the Japanese and European markets. So, nothing has changed for the Malaysia-spec CB250R.

What upgrades does the Honda CB250R receive for the model year 2022?

The 2022 Honda CB250R now offers a better riding experience thanks to several new inclusions like -

• New 41 mm Showa Separate Function Front Fork - Big Piston (SFF-BP). It enhances the bike's response and handling thanks to an individualist function that includes a spring mechanism in one leg and a pressure damper in the other. The same inclusion is found in several Honda biggies like the new CB500F, CB500X, and CB500R
• The gear indicator display is revised to offer the rider information in a better, more precise manner

What powers the Honda CB250R?

There are no changes here, as the CB250R continues to draw power for a 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4 stroke, DOHC mill, generating a maximum output of 27.2 hp at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 23.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a 6-speed gearbox with chain drive.
