Here’s the all-new 2021 Triumph Speed Twin
KUALA LUMPUR: We have a piece of exciting news, Triumph has launched the latest 2021 Speed Twin. Due to the pandemic, the brand opted for a global online launch which seems about correct.
The 2021 Triumph Speed Twin is the perfect response for someone looking for an ultimate modern-classic power roadster. And seems to be the perfect balance between the classic Street Twin and high-performance Thruxton R.
Powering the new Triumph Speed Twin is a new Euro5 compliant 1200 cc High Power Bonneville twin powertrain making a maximum power of 100 PS at 7,250 rpm, i.e., 3 PS more than the previous model along with a peak torque of 112 Nm. The overall response has been improved, thanks to a new alternator and lightweight crankshaft.
Furthermore, the new high-spec equipment ensures dramatically improved handling. Part of its long list of improvements are -
- New cast wheels & grippy Metzeler rubbers
- Marzocchi USD 43 mm front forks with cartridge damping
- A set of Brembo M50 four-piston callipers handling the front 320 mm disc brakes
- Torque-assist clutch
- Upgraded selectable riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport)
- ABS
- LED lighting package with DRLs
- Switchable traction control
The new Speed Twin continues to feature the iconic Triumph classic and contemporary design DNA. However, making it more to the present day taste are elements like -
- New 17-inch 12-spoke cast wheels covered in new Metzeler
- Racetec RR rubbers
- Triumph’s signature-shaped 14.5-litre fuel tank with knee indents and new graphics
- New twin exhaust silencer
- New colour options
