Harley-Davidson Malaysia launches FXDR 114, priced at RM 122,500

KUALA LUMPUR: Harley-Davidson has launched the 10th model of its Softail range in the local market - the 2019 FXDR 114. This bike carries a hefty price tag of RM 122,500 and buyers who register it prior 30th November 2019 will get a general merchandise voucher worth RM 4,200 and a Screamin’ Eagle titanium exhaust muffler.

Powering the 2019 Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 is a 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 four-valve V-twin engine that offers a peak torque of 158 Nm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. According to Harley Davidson, the FXDR 114 features 704 mm and 724 mm of laden and unladen seat height, respectively. The fuel capacity is limited to 16.7 litres.

The quoted weight for the all-new FXDR 114 is 303 kg (in running order). Such low weight is possible thanks to the use of composite materials. Apart from using weight reducing materials, the bike features a 6.25 kg aluminium swingarm, a reduction of 4.62 kg over the previous model and steel Softail item. In addition, a welded aluminium tubing subframe clothed in tail section saves 3.2 kg more.

The 10th Softail model stands on 19-inch front wheels wrapped in 120-section tyres at the front and 18-inch units with 240-section tyre at the rear. A 43 mm in diameter upside-down front forks and rear monoshock with preload adjustment take care of the suspension duty. Taking up the braking responsibilities here a 300 mm fixed discs with twin four-piston calipers along with a single floating disc with two-piston caliper. Anti-lock Braking System is offered as standard fitment on the all-new 2019 FXDR 114.

The Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 specs sheet includes LED units all-around, so there is Daymaker LED headlight with LED halo, LED turn indicators, and LED taillights. Adding to riders convenience are features like a USB charging port., Harley-Davidson Smart Security System, and a 5.4 cm LCD display.

Harley-Davidson is offering the FXDR is six color options - Rawhide Denim, Vivid Black, Bonneville Salt Denim, Industrial Gray Denim, Black Denim, and Wicked Red Denim.
