Get ready for the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4, bookings open
KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that Ducati opened the booking for the limited-edition XDiavel Black Star and launched the all-new 2021 Scrambler Nightshift. And now we hear that it is accepting bookings for the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4, one of its most interesting offerings to date. Excited?
Let's now get to know the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 in detail, starting with its engine configuration.
The Multistrada V4 is powered by a 1,158 cc Granturismo V4 mill that pumps out a maximum power of 170 hp along with a peak torque of 125 Nm. What's different about it? Unlike any Ducati bike to date, this one uses a valve spring system instead of the iconic Desmodromic unit. Thus, the bike does not require the costly valve clearance adjustment for the first 60,000 km.
Also, Multistrada V4's capability can be proven by the fact that it was ridden by some ADV riders from the headquarters in Italy to the Arctic Circle.
Still, doubt its credibility?
The Ducati Multistrada V4 made its debut in November 2020 and within six months of its arrival, the company sold 5,000 units. The reason for its success can be attributed to the fact that Ducati included a powerful V4 mill in the ADV bike segment.
