Eleven countries in a day, MV Agusta to attempt a new world record
KUALA LUMPUR: MV Agusta along with Valerio Boni, the Italian motoring journalist, will soon attempt to beat the world record for visiting most countries on a motorcycle in 24 hours. The beast picked for the task is the all-new 2021 Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS. From Sweden to Italy, it’ll cover 2,000 km across Europe.
According to the 62-year-old Italian, "This long, epic ride across Europe will certainly be challenging for both rider and bike, but the 2021 edition of the Turismo Veloce, in its production version, has everything it takes to achieve the objective in the best conditions. Thanks to the Turismo Veloce’s onboard technology we will be able to share the adventure in real-time on the official website www.mvagusta.com."
The rider, Boni will embark on this exciting journey on the longest day of the year, i.e.m 21st June 2021. The starting point will be Malmo, Sweden and if all goes well then as per the plan Boni will reach MV Agusta's headquarter within 24 hours.
In between, he'll be riding through eleven different countries - Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Italy.
Along with attempting to gain the world record, Boni is also targeting to acquire the SaddleSore 1600K and SaddleSore 2000K certification from the Iron Butt Association.
