Ducati delivers 5000 units of new Multistrada V4 in six months
KUALA LUMPUR: The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 was launched only a while back and now we hear that there are 5000 of them out there around the world. The catch here is that the 5000th unit was purchased by a very special individual, who goes by the name Karl-Heinz Lebensieg, a German Ducatista. He ordered a V4 S Sport trim in full configuration from the Ducati Ingolstadt dealer.
To celebrate the milestone, Mr Lebensieg was invited from Ducati Motor Deutschland to the dealership, wherein he received a sculptural reproduction of the Multistrada V4 along with a personal letter with the motorcycle's serial number.
The Multistrada V4 made its global debut during the 2021 Ducati World Premiere. It combines Ducati performance and sportiness with unprecedented ride comfort and versatility.
Powering the Multistrada V4 is a 1158-cc V4 Granturismo engine making a maximum power of 170 hp. The mill uses valve springs and not the iconic Ducati Desmodromic valve system. Also, it is the first time a Ducati motorcycle can go up to 60,000 km before needing a valve clearance adjustment.
In addition, the motorcycle comes with an integrated navigation system with dedicated maps that the rider can view on the large dashboard. Furthermore, it is the first motorcycle in the world to get both front and rear radar.
Ducati has curated several configurations for the Multistrada V4 trims, thus meeting the different needs of the customers. The same can be checked at Ducati.com, and the online configurator even allows the buyer to customise the bike by picking the aesthetic variations and accessory packages best suiting their needs.
