Boon Siew Honda appoints a new managing director & CEO
KUALA LUMPUR: The year 2022 has started with new hopes, new dreams, and new targets. The automotive industry is also buckled up for rolling out new models, developing advanced features, making new associations, and much more. In the new year, the official manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles Boon Siew Honda welcomes the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mitsuharu Funase. He succeeded Mr. Yoshitaka Nakamura who was assigned to be the CEO at Honda Motorcycle Kenya Limited.

Mr. Funase has worked as the Manager of the Product Strategy Department, Business Planning Division of Motorcycle Operations Headquarters at Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in Japan. He has also undertaken assignments in Thailand and Indonesia and thus holds vast experience in the ASEAN motorcycle business as well.
While addressing his associates on his first day at the office, Mr. Funase said, “2021 was a year full of challenges but I am pleased to mention, despite all the challenges, Boon Siew Honda achieved a creditable production number and sales.”
