BMW R 18 and R 18 Classic get new custom offerings, Option 719

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it right. BMW Motorrad has announced a new custom Option 719 parts range for the R 18 and R 18 Classic, two of its top Heritage-line models. The best part is these custom offerings will be available globally and will not be limited to a specific country. Thus, starting September 2021, owners can elevate their BMW bike by adding new cylinder head covers, paint finish, seat, wheels, and much more.

One of our favourite inclusion, however, is the two striking metallic colour tones - the Option 719 Galaxy Dust and Titanium Silver 2. They give the R 18 an utterly amazing finish of violet and turquoise which when exposed to sunlight look even more stunning, all thanks to the large effect pigments mixed in the paint.

The costume Option 719 kit also includes a Design Package AERO range that includes brushed colourless anodised aluminium cylinder head covers, intake snorkel cover, and front cover. All these parts give the bike a streamliner look inspired from the 1920s and 1930s. The seats will be finished in black with diamond-shaped quilted embossing and BMW & 719 symbols.

As for the wheels, under the Option 719 package, the R 18 and R 18 Classic benefit from Aero and ICON choices. Both cast alloy six-spoke wheels finished in matt silver and matt black tones, respectively. The spoke milled area gives a nice contrast to the painted wheel parts, thus named Contrast Cut.

As mentioned above, the Option 719 package for the BMW R 18 and R 18 Classic will be available in markets worldwide. And considering the R 18 Classic recent Malaysia launch, the new custom Option 719 package is expected to make its way into our market soon.
