Benelli updates Leoncino 250 for 2022 model year

KUALA LUMPUR: The new 2022 Benelli Leoncino 250 is here and comes bearing updates for good.

The updated quarter-litre retro cafe-racer in its new version gets new LED headlamps and striking graphics, all giving the motorcycle a fresh look. It however retains the same capable base for which the brand platform is known.

What powers the new Leoncino 250?

Powering the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 250 is a 250 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill with Euro 5 regulations. The engine pumps out a maximum power of 28.5 hp at 9,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 21 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox.

It’s the new Leoncino 250 suspension setup that can put the bigger motorcycle to shame. It gets a set of upside-down forks with a 41 mm diameter and 51 mm of travel. On the braking front, the retro cafe-racer gets quite big brakes for the power it pumps out. It gets a 280 mm single floating front disc with a four-piston caliper and 240 mm disc at the rear with single-piston caliper.

The new graphics are hard to miss, it includes a stylized ‘250’ on the side along with some hints of yellow here and there. Also, the Lion on the front fender harks to the model’s name.

New Benelli Leoncino 250 Price

The updated model is expected to cost somewhere around $4,000 USD (approx. RM 16916).
