Bajaj to kick-start electric motorcycle production at the new facility
KUALA LUMPUR: Electromobility is the future and there is no denying it. With automakers introducing new EVs every now and then, the two-wheel industry is not far behind. For instance, Bajaj, a prominent two-wheeler manufacturer from India recently announced the commencement of its new facility that will build electric motorcycles.

Baja will commence production in its new electric vehicle facility in June 2022.If reports are to be believed, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer invested more than USD 40 million in its new facility that is dedicated to producing e-motorcycles.
Apart from producing electric motorcycles for Bajaj, the new facility will also deliver the upcoming Husqvarna Vektorr and the highly awaited E-Pilen.
Furthermore, the new production facility will not only take up assembly responsibility but also take care of paint job, fabrication, and quality assurance.
Bajaj’s new facility is said to sit on a massive piece of land, 500,000 sqft to be precise and is capable of manufacturing around half a million EVs annually.
The electric two-wheelers built in the facility will be sold in India and will be exported to other Asian and European markets.
