Aveta VTM 250 adventure bike launched in Malaysia; price begins at RM 12,988

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian-born bike maker, Aveta, has expanded its diverse lineup of mopeds and super mopeds with the introduction of the all-new VTM 250. It is an adventure bike that is designed for both on- and off-road use. 

The Aveta VTM 250 is offered in two variants - LX and M variants, priced as follows -

At the core of both variants lies a 250-cc single-cylinder oil-cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine that is tuned to generate a maximum power of 18.8 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 18 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.

While the mechanical setup remains the same, the VTM 250 variants target different user groups. The LX variant is designed for those who want to tackle challenging trails, while the M variant offers a stylish option for everyday use.

Aveta VTM 250 LX

• This is Ideal for enduro riders who enjoy off-road adventures.
• It has a higher ground clearance of 305 mm, making it perfect for navigating rugged terrains.
• The LX trim is equipped with larger wheels - 21-inch front and 18-inch rear rims, offering better off-road grip. The tyre size measures 90/90 and 120/80, respectively.
• The suspension comprises a USD fork at the front and mono-shock with preload adjustment at the rear
• Handling the braking duties are disc brakes on both ends.
• The colour options include - Arsenal Red or Army Green.

Aveta VTM 250 M

• This is a supermoto-style commuter bike, designed for street use.
• It comes with a lower ground clearance of 290 mm for better handling on urban roads.
• The VTM 250 M rides on 17-inch spoked rims wrapped with 110/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres.
• Suspension is handled by the same USD front fork and preload-adjustable rear monoshock.
• Along with disc brakes, it also gets a single-channel ABS system adding to safety and comfort.
• It is offered in Blazing Red or Admiral Blue colour choices.
  
  

Both variants share common features, such as a digital meter, electric starter, rear brake lights, and signal lights.
