All-new Honda ADV 150 scheduled to arrive in the Philippines

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2019 Honda ADV 150 was first launched in Indonesia during the GIIAS show, and now the stylish scooter is going to enter the Philippines market - reports a reliable industry source.

It was only a few hours back that Honda Philippines posted a picture on its social media handle that showed ADV 150 silhouette with a ‘launched soon’ tagline. Also, various social media sites in the Philippines released images of new ADV 150 being unloaded at a dock.

The Honda AVD 150 specs reveal that the moped is powered by a 149.3cc, single-cylinder, SOHC engine that offers a maximum power of 14.5 PS at 8,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The AVD 150 also features an Idling Stop function.

 

Its bigger sibling - X-ADV inspires the ADV 150 design. The company’s PGM-Fi tech feeds the moped, and power is sent to the wheels via an automatic transmission and belt drive.

In the Indonesian market, the 2019 AVD 150 variant list consists of two models - Combined Braking System (CBS) trim and the ABS trim. The former is priced at 33.5 million rupiah (RM 9,908) and later at 36.5 million rupiah (RM 10,795).

Hydraulic discs handle braking duties on Honda ADV 150, two-piston calliper is present at the front and single-piston unit at the rear.

New Honda ADV 150 dimensions sheet reveal the following information -

• Seat height - 795 mm
• ADV 150 CBS model weight - 132 kg
• ADV 150 ABS model weight - 133 kg
• Fuel tank - 8-litre
• Under-seat storage sapce - 28-litre

The AVD 150 cockpit features the same monochrome LED meter that is also found on the CRF1000L Africa Twin and X-ADV. Also, starring in the new moped is a manually adjustable windshield with high and low position and LED lighting throughout.

So, with two of our neighbors, Indonesia and Philippines getting the 2019 Honda AVD 150, the question is when we will get our fair share of this super stylish scooter?
