All-new 2022 Indian Motorcycles Pursuit has arrived

KUALA LUMPUR: Indian Motorcycles has launched its new touring motorcycle, the 2022 Indian Pursuit. And as expected from a big touring champ, it is loaded with features, enhancing both its comfort and performance.

Said to be the most comforting motorcycle on the American roads, it comes with an array of riding conveniences. Included in the list are -

• Heated grips with a heated touring seat
• Height adjustable windscreen
• Vented lower fairings

The motorcycle scours big on the tech side as well. Fitted in its cockpit is a 7-inch TFT-LCD touchscreen equipped with Apple CarPlay, GPS turn-by-turn navigation, and a usual information display.

Coming to the mechanical aspect, powering the new Indian Pursuit is a 1,768 cc, liquid-cooled V-twin engine making a maximum power of 121 hp along with a peak torque of 178 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox with the 6th gear being an overdrive that lowers the rpm at cruising speed with slip and assist clutch to lower lever effort.

The rider can switch between three riding modes - Standard, Rain, and Sport, all complemented by cornering ABS and traction control.

The engine here demands low maintenance, thanks to the use of hydraulic valve lash adjusters and camshaft chain tensioners.

Being a touring motorcycle having a spacious storage space is a must. The new Indian Pursuit fulfills the requirements with a 133-litre top box and panniers with power locking.

Indian Motorcycles is offering the 2022 Pursuit in two variant options - the Indian Pursuit Limited and the Indian Pursuit Dark Horse. The former is offered in single Black Metallic tone, while the latter can be picked in either Silver Quartz Smoke and Black Smoke shades.
