All-new 2022 Ducati Diavel V4 unveiled; check details

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a couple of days back that the 6th episode of the 2023 Ducati World Premiere took place with the key highlight being the introduction of the new Diavel V4.

Let us get to know Ducati’s new mega cruiser in detail -

Engine

Powering the Diavel V6 motorcycle is a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo powertrain generating a maximum power of 168 hp along with a peak torque of 126 Nm. It is the same unit that fuels the popular Multistrada V4 and Streetfighter V4. Therefore, like its siblings, the Diavel V4 has a 60,000 km service interval.

Performance

The new Ducati Diavel V4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km in less than three seconds, thus making it one of the most powerful Ducati motorcycles.

Braking & handling

A potent motorcycle deserves a capable braking system and the same goes for the new Diavel V4. The new Ducati benefits from 330 mm discs and Brembo Stylema calipers.

A smooth ride is assured by its efficient suspension system which includes a rear suspension that increases the travel by 15 mm. Further improving the riding comfort is the 20 mm closer (compared to Diavel 1260) central footpegs and high handlebars.

Driving dynamics

The new Ducati Diavel V4 is offered in three Power and four Riding Modes. The latter includes Sports, Urban, Touring, and Wet modes. They allow the rider to adapt the engine delivery and various riding aids like Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, and ABS.

The motorcycle also features cruise control for relaxed highway transfer, Ducati Quick Shift up/down making shifting more effective and less tiring, and Launch Control for scorching starts.

Features

The new Ducati is equipped with several comforting features like a new 5-inch colour TFT dashboard, backlit controls on the handlebars, Bluetooth connectivity, Turn-by-turn navigation system via Ducati Link App.

On the outside, the motorcycle’s muscle car-inspired styling features radical-looking four-exit exhaust, full-LED front & rear lights, front DRL with changing shape feature, double C-profile, and not to forget the 5-spoke wheels which are the most refined element of the bike’s aesthetics.

Colour options

The 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 is available in two striking options - Thrilling Black and Ducati Red.
