A new budget-friendly kapchai in town, 2021 Aveta VS110

KUALA LUMPUR: Aveta is a wholly Malaysian-owned motorcycle brand that entered the local market in November 2019. The brand is owned by Aveta Global Marketing and its targeted customer base is the budget-conscious riders. It entered the market with two models - the RX110 (RM 4,039) and the DY90 (RM 2,888). Then in December 2020, Aveta introduced the Rager 110 with an on-the-road price of RM 3,586. Continuing the brand expansion process in 2021, Aveta has now introduced a brand-new model in its lineup - the VS 110.

Staying true to Aveta's brand image, it is an easy-on-the-pocket kapchai with an on-the-road price tag of RM 3,588. Included is a 20,000 km or 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Powering the all-new 2021 Aveta VS110 is a 113 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine fed by a carburettor. This mill churns out a maximum power of 6.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 6.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. As is customary of motorcycles in this class, the power is sent to the wheels via a four-speed rotary gearbox with a centrifugal clutch.

Ensuring a comfortable and smooth ride is its conventional telescopic front forks and twin preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers. Mechanical drum brakes at both ends take care of the VS110's braking duties.

The Aveta VS110 weighs 83 kg and carries a 4-litre capacity fuel tank. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels. Aveta is offering it in four hues - Black, Cyan, Red, and Blue.

In Malaysia, the VS110 will go against the likes of Honda Wave Alpha that retails for RM 4,589 and showcases the same engine configuration and specs.
