A limited-edition Suzuki Raider R150 Fi for RM 11.9k

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a few days back that Suzuki Malaysia launched its 150 cc trio in the local market. Though all the new Suzuki models are special, the one in particular to grab our hearts is the Suzuki ‘Super moped’, the 2022 Raider R150 Fi.

The all-new Suzuki Raider R150 Fi has many attributes by its side, like impressive power output and not to forget its appealing price point. In fact, Ahamd Faez Yahaya, Suzuki Malaysia Group Executive Chairman, at the launch event played with the onlookers by changing the moped’s selling price several times, until finally bringing it to RM 8,173 (for entry-level model).

And now we hear that Suzuki Malaysia has launched a special variant of the moped that goes by the name the Suzuki Raider R150 Fi Azlan Shah Edition.

As can be judged by the name, the new special edition offering is jointly developed by Suzuki Malaysia, Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman (former Moto2 rider and the reigning champion of the ARRC 1000 cc elite class), and Amitec. Limited to just 300 units, the Raider R150 Fi Azlan Shah Edition will soon be available at authorized Suzuki dealerships nationwide for sale.

Priced at RM 11,988, the special edition Raider R150 Fi showcases several attractive ‘make-up’ accessories and graphics, differentiating it from the regular model. Also, each unit of the Raider R150 Fi Azlan Shah Edition will bear an exclusive release number badge.

The special edition Raider moped also comes with Azlan’s race number ‘25’ along with several Racing Boy hardware accessories. Like adjustable rear monoshock suspension, brake and clutch hydraulic master pumps, mirrors, grips, bar guards, side stand, caliper brakes, brake levers and clutches, terotel protectors, terotel rubber, ticks, pegs, braided stainless-steel brake hoses, and more.

Coming from Azlan Shah is the special edition Raider’s ergonomic features like seating position, so one can rest assured in that department.

As for the Suzuki Raider R150 Fi Azlan Shah edition power configuration, it is powered by a 147.3 cc single-cylinder DOHC unit making a maximum power output of 18.2 hp at 8,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The mill is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
