KUALA LUMPUR: BMW midsize scooters, the C 400 X and C 400 GT, are known for their high-end build quality, stylish design, and modern features. To keep up with trends and customer preferences, BMW Motorrad has upgraded these scooters for 2025. The latest versions come with new features, colours, and accessories.

Design and colours
Along with the basic Blackstorm metallic version featuring a black/grey seat, black rims, and brake callipers, the BMW C 400 X gets a new rugged trim. The latest version features a new, dynamic front design and new Kalamata metallic matt body colour with contrasting red accents.
The rims and tyres of the rugged model are designed for off-road aesthetics. Adding to the robust look is a heavily tinted windshield, a red-black seat, and stainless steel footboard inserts.
The new BMW C 400 GT also comes in a new “Exclusive” avatar in addition to the basic Blackstorm model. The Exclusive trim is sprayed with Diamond white metallic colour and features golden rims and brake callipers, and a black seat with embroidered accents.
Other key highlights include - a slightly tinted windshield, floor lighting with a BMW logo projection and stainless steel footboard inserts.
New safety features
The new C 400 X and C 400 GT models have several new high-tech safety features, including ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control, and Engine Drag Torque Control for better stability and safety.
Increased under-seat storage
BMW has increased the under-seat storage capacity of the scooter for added convenience. The BMW C 400 X now offers 3 litres more under the seat while the BMW C 400 GT provides an additional 12 litres of storage space, including front pockets for easy access to smaller items.
New top case
The automaker also offers a newly designed 43.5-litre top case with the models. Compared to the older unit, the new case comes with 13.5 litres more storage capacity and supports a double payload capacity of 10 kg. This top case also features interior lighting and a USB charging port.
New display with improved connectivity
The scooters are now fitted with a larger 6.5-inch TFT display that offers an intuitive interface and improved readability. The buyers of the C 400 GT can also upgrade to a 10.25-inch display as part of the Connectivity Pro package.
The display integrates with the BMW Motorrad Connected app, allowing riders to connect their smartphones and manage phone calls, music playback, and navigation directly through the display.
New accessories
BMW Mottarad also offers a wider range of original BMW Motorrad accessories with the new C 400 X and BMW C 400 GT. These include -

- Hand guards
- 10.25-inch TFT display (C 400 GT)
- Anti-theft alarm system
- Luggage rack
In terms of mechanical setup, both C 400 X and BMW C 400 GT retain the same 350-cc single-cylinder engine generating a maximum power of 34 hp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 35 Nm at 5,750 rpm. It comes mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth power delivery.
While pricing info of the upgraded BMW scooters is not yet disclosed, the existing BMW C 400 X retails for RM 47,500, and the BMW C 400 GT is priced at RM 51,500 in Malaysia.
