2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Kawasaki bikes in Malaysia, has launched the highly anticipated Ninja ZX-25RR. Touted as the new contender for the 250cc crown, the latest super-sport model is a shining example of the performance offered by Ninja ZX machines. 

Engine 

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR comes powered by a 249 cc liquid-cooled inline-four cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 46 PS at 15,500 rpm and a peak torque of 22.9 Nm at 14,500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox mated to a Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) and assist and slipper clutch.

Features 

• Riding modes: The bike comes with a choice of full power or low power modes allowing riders to set power delivery as per their preference and conditions
• Kawasaki Traction Control: This advanced system offers both enhanced sport riding performances and peace of mind under certain conditions to tackle low-traction surfaces with confidence
• TFT instrument metre: The TFT instrument metre on the motorcycle is equipped with advanced smartphone connectivity features. It allows users to seamlessly integrate their smartphones with the bike's display, providing access to navigation, music, calls, and other essential information right at their fingertips 

• Showa front suspension: The motorcycle is equipped with a premium Showa front suspension system, featuring a 37 mm inverted fork (SFF-BP) along with top-out springs, ensuring exceptional performance and enhanced riding comfort
• Fully-adjustable rear mono-shock: At the rear end, the bike is kitted with a fully adjustable rear mono-shock, featuring a Horizontal Back-link design and a gas-charged shock with spring preload adjustability
• Disc brakes: The bike's braking system comprises dual semi-floating 310 mm discs with radial-mount, monobloc, opposed 4-piston callipers at the front, and a single 220 mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear. These are complemented by an anti-lock braking system.

Dimensions 

The Ninja ZX-25RR underpins a high-tensile steel Trellis frame for strength and stability. With an overall height of 1,110 mm, length of 1,980 mm, and width of 750 mm, it offers a sleek appearance and accommodates riders of different sizes. The seat height is set at 785 mm for rider comfort, complemented by wheel sizes of 110/70 at the front and 150/60 at the rear.

Weighing 184 kg, the bike features a fuel tank with a capacity of 15 litres, ensuring sufficient range for long rides.

Price 

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25RR is priced at RM 36,500 in Malaysia (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration).
