2023 Yamaha Y16ZR Doxou ‘Tech Art’ Edition launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd has introduced an all-new limited edition of the Y16ZR, called the 2023 Yamaha Y16ZR Doxou ‘Tech Art’. It is based on the spirit of ‘Doxou,’ which means ‘to be creative and be ahead of others.” 

Limited to just 5000 units, the special edition 2023 Yamaha Y16ZR Doxou ‘Tech Art’ is priced at RM 11,818 (on the road without insurance). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects. 

The bike comes decked up with a unique blue colourway featuring stunning graphics and ‘Doxou’ stickers on the bodywork. Both alloy wheels get a cyan finish adding to the bike’s sporty character. Also part of the kit is a limited edition Y16ZR Sports Fender.

At the core of this special bike lies the same 155-cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, variable valve actuation (VVA) engine as the standard model. The said engine churns out a maximum power of 17.7 hp at 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox paired with an assist and slipper clutch and chain final drive system.

The 2023 Yamaha Y16ZR Doxou ‘Tech Art’ Edition exclusively comes with a 10 mm shorter clutch lever, offering a short and more comfortable grip when changing gears.

• Single hydraulic callipers and brake disc on the rear wheel
• Smart lock system
• 12-volt charging socket

Each purchase of the limited-edition Y16ZR comes accompanied by a memorable emblem with the edition number and a special 'thank you' certificate.
