2023 Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF250 launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki has introduced two new quarter-litre motorcycles - Gixxer 250 & Gixxer SF250 in the local market. Both models are locally assembled and share a similar mechanical configuration; however, they distinguish themselves with their unique styling.

The Gixxer 250 features a more upright and naked design with a futuristic LED headlamp setup while the Gixxer SF250 has a full-faired sporty look and a dynamic LED headlamp design. Both models feature ten-spoke alloy wheels (with colour-matched pin-striping), twin-outlet exhausts, and an easy-to-read LCD digital console. The Gixxer 250 tips the scales at 156 kg while the Gixxer SF250 weighs at 161 kg.

The 2023 Suzuki Gixxer 250 comes in two colour choices - Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, both priced at RM 14,500 (excluding road tax, insurance, or registration).

The 2023 Suzuki Gixxer SF250, on the other hand, is offered in Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Metallic Sonic Silver/Metallic Triton Blue (GP Edition) options, priced at RM 15,200 and RM 15,500, respectively. Included in the mentioned prices is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Both the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF250 come equipped with an innovative 249-cc transmittal Single Cylinder Engine (SOHC) type engine, inspired by Suzuki's technology in MotoGP racing. 

The said mill combines - Suzuki’s innovative Oil Cooling System (SOCS), Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) tech, Advance Single Overhead Cam (SOHC), Printed Piston Surface Technology, Cylinder Cooper Grip Treatment, Lightweight Shim-Type Roller Rocker Arms and Lightweight Valves & Retainers. It kicks out a maximum power of 26.7 hp at 9300 rpm and a peak torque of 22.2 Nm at 7300 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a 6-speed transmission.

• 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyre
• Telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension
• Hydraulic single-disc brakes with callipers by Bybre at both ends 
• Dual-channel ABS 
• 12-litre fuel tank (offering travel of up to 400 km in one full tank)

The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF250 are now available at all Suzuki Big Bike World, Suzuki Station Plus, and Suzuki Station showrooms across Malaysia.
