2022 WMoto SX2 300 off-roader launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Dirt bikes are designed and built with special tyres and suspension for riding over rough terrain or unpaved roads. It falls in the category of Motocross segment with a number of options available in the local market for the extreme motorcycle enthusiasts. Now, a new name has been added to this list, and that’s called WMoto SX2 300. 

MForce Bike Holdings, the official distributor of the WMoto bikes in Malaysia, is offering the all-new WMoto SX2 300 at a price of RM 18,888 (without insurance and road tax). Included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).

Well, this is not the first time that we are seeing the WMoto scrambler model, as last year, the Malaysian army selected this ‘motocross’ type motorcycle as a part of its ‘Ops Banteng.’

Key highlights of the 2022 WMoto SX2 300 are - 

• The dirt bike is convenient for daily use and extreme activities.
• It runs on a 292.4-cc 4-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
• The bike is offered in three colour options - Black, Red and White.

• As for suspension, it is equipped with a USD-type front fork setup mated with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. You can cruise the bike easily on unpaved roads thanks to the dual-purpose tyres.
• Handling the braking duties are single disc brakes on the front and rear complete with an anti-lock brake system 
• In terms of styling, we see a traditional motocross design with a raised front mudguard, long front beak, supermoto-style seats, spoked wheels, and hand guard.
• The bike is also kitted with a variety of premium components in its class, comprising an LED lighting system, LCD digital screen display, and a USB charger port

To showcase the offroading potential of its all-new SX2-300, the automaker also organised a test ride session for the riders at X-Park Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan recently.

The all-new WMoto SX2 300 is now available at MForce authorised dealerships nationwide.
