2022 Suzuki GSX-S150 bookings open in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki Malaysia brought a fresh wave of excitement to the Malaysian two-wheeler market with the launch of not just one, not two, not three, but a total of eight new bikes last year. Included in the list are GSX-R1000, GSX-R1000R, Katana, GSX-S750, V-Strom 650XT, Hayabusa, V-Strom 1050 XT, and SV 650. Now, the Japanese automaker is buckled for 2022 as it started accepting the bookings of the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S150.

Suzuki Malaysia teased the small-capacity motorcycle on its social media handles that is expected to hit the Malaysian roads soon.

The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S150 naked sports features a full LED headlight, an LCD instrument panel, LED lighting, an 11-litre fuel tank, 17-inch wheels, split seats, a keyless ignition system with a key fob, and a hazard lamp. It tips the scale at 130 kg.

The bike is powered by a 147.3-cc single-cyl, liquid-cooled DOHC engine generating a maximum power output of 19 hp at 10,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via a six-speed transmission.

As for suspension, it is equipped with conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels and an anti-lock braking system.

Besides the new GSX-S150, Suzuki Malaysia will pull the wraps off the all-new 2022 Belang and 2022 GSX-R150 later this year.
