2021 Suzuki GSXR-1000R gets a new exterior colour tone to the mix
KUALA LUMPUR: The company's all-new Suzuki GSXR-1000R is offered in three hues with the latest addition being Glass Matte Mechanical Gray. The other two include Matte Black Metallic and the signature Triton Metallic/Silver Metallic. The latter tone was introduced by Suzuki as the special edition 100th anniversary splash, however now it’s part of the standard colour kit.
Any other inclusion or upgrades? No, the rest of the GSXR-1000R remains the same as before. It is powered by a very efficient and powerful 999 cc inline-four engine pumping out a maximum power of 195 hp at 13,200 rpm along with a peak torque of 117 Nm at 10,800 rpm. Compared to other offerings in the segment, Suzuki might not be as strong, but that has not stopped it from winning races, the latest being the 24 Hours Motos, held last month as Le Mans.
The latest colour addition to the GSXR-1000R line, i.e. the Glass Matte Mechanical Gray tone is priced at 2,156,000 yen (approx. RM 83,000).
When/will it be launched in Malaysia?
Suzuki Malaysia's official distributor has not spilled beans on the arrival of the 2021 GSXR-1000R, however, one of its Klang dealers is accepting pre-orders for several Suzuki motorcycles, new GSXR-1000R included.
There is no info on its availability or pricing, but knowing Suzuki Malaysia's big return in 2021, details will be out soon.
