2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000: Key highlights
MV Agusta claimed its latest creation 2021 Rush 1000 as the ‘most extreme naked of all time’. And when a bike manufacturer is this confident about its product, we are all eyes and ears.
So, let’s check out what the new MV Agusta Rush 1000’s key highlights -
Powerful engine
Powering the 2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000 is an updated 998 cc four-cylinder mill that makes a maximum power of 208 hp at 13,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 116 Nm at 11,000 rpm. By output figures, the Rush 1000 seems to be a supremely powerful motorcycle with the numbers matching that of a four-wheeler. So, the question arises, what makes the new Rush 1000’s engine so potent? Well, the answer lies in the fitments that surround the unit. For instance, the power unit comes fitted with DLC-coated tappets, new sintered valve guides, new cam profiles, and titanium connecting roads. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a cassette-style, six-speed transmission.
As a testament to its capability, the Rush 1000 can attain a top speed of over 300 kmph.
Aggressive styling
Coming to Rush 1000 styling, the naked motorcycle from MV Agusta looks stunning with its edgy design and carbon-fibre elements. Not to forget, the matte black hue with yellow highlights only further add to its powerful vibe. To elaborate its engine cover, rear wheel cover, air intake, exhaust heat shield, rear wheel cover, and airbox cover, are all carbon fibre bits sprayed in black-yellow tone.
Lengthy feature list
A powerful and beautiful beast like the MV Agusta Rush 1000 deserves the best-in-class inclusions be it on the comfort, infotainment, convenience, or handling front. The ‘the most extreme naked bike’ archives the same with inclusions like round LED headlights, leather & Alcantara seat, limited edition plates, and forged plates.
The electronics are revised as well with the motorcycle now benefiting from a new full-colour 5.5-inch TFT display, an EAS 3.0 electronic gear sensor, new inertial platform, ABS MK100 Continental Module with Cornering Function, bi-directional quickshifter, Launch Control, cruise control, Bluetooth GPS, app-controlled engine, MV Ride App for navigation mirroring.
The suspension setup includes Öhlins Nix EC hydraulic “upside down” front forks with TiN superficial treatment and single shock absorber Öhlins EC TTX completely adjustable with electronically controlled compression and rebound damping and spring preload at the rear.
Braking duties are carried forward by a double floating disc with steel braking disc and aluminium flange at the front and a single steel disc at the rear.
