2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 S gets a new colour option - Red
KUALA LUMPUR: Ducati has unveiled its 2020 Diavel 1260 S in Red colour at the ongoing World Premiere organised in Rimini, Italy. The new colour gives this cruiser a sportier look in comparison to the regular variant.
2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 S is equipped with a 1,262 cc Testastretta Desmodromic Variable Valve Timing (DVT) twin-spark V-twin engine having the brand’s own Desmodromic valve actuation. It is capable of churning out a maximum power of 159 hp coming at 9,500 rpm, while the peak torque is 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox, which is assisted by slipper clutch, chain final drive and up-and-down quick-shifter.
As for the suspension, 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 S is equipped with Ohlins fully-adjustable mono-shock unit along with Ohlins upside-down forks and up-and-down quick-shifter. The Brembo M50 Monoblocs are present to take care of the stopping duties, while the base variant gets M4.32 callipers. It is the Bosch Cornering ABS Evo, which makes the braking more efficient.
Both 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260 variants come with a range of safety features that include Traction Control Evo, Wheelie Control Evo, Riding Modes and Power Modes. Moreover, other features include Cruise control, hands-free, backlit handlebar switches, Power Launch Evo, 3.5-inch TFT colour display, Self-cancelling turn indicators and full LED lighting system. The S variant gets DMS (Ducati Multimedia System) and DRLs.
Speaking of the pricing, 2020 Diavel 1260 costs 23,190 euros (RM 108,174) in Italy, while the base variant is priced at 20,290 euros (RM 94,649).
In Malaysia, the 2019 Diavel 1260 duos are already on sale with RM 119,900 price tag for the base variants and RM 139,900 for the ‘S’.
