2019 Yamaha Y15ZR price details revealed; to cost RM 8,168

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha Malaysia has revealed the pricing details of the new 2019 Y15ZR V2. The two-wheeler was unveiled during the 2019 Cub Prix championship, and the company then promised that the prices would be revealed in April. The new Y15ZR carries a recommended retail price tag of RM 8,168 minus registration, road tax, and insurance.

Y15ZR is offered in four color combinations, namely Storm Blue, Blazing Red, Striking Cyan, and Dynamic Grey. It gets a sporty outfit with wing-shaped LED headlights, new front tyre, and revamped rear suspension. Other visible upgrades include a new mudguard and controls for engine shutdown and pass-light.

As per the dimensions of the new Y15ZR available in other ASEAN markets, it is now longer and wider than the outgoing model. The seat height has also been increased by a fair amount, and the vehicle itself gains 2 kgs weight.

The information console receives complete digitalisation and now comes with a monochrome LCD panel that replaces the analogue meter. The front fenders are bigger to accommodate the tyre, and there is also a new rear suspension. Moreover, the fuel tank of capacity is 4.2-litre.

Coming to the powerhouse, the two-wheeler gets the same SOHC 150 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as before. The mill churns out a maximum power of 15.4 PS at 8,500 rpm along with a torque of 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The drive is sent to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.

The regional distributor, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) is also offering a disc brake lock worth RM100, for free.
