2019 Yamaha MT-07 Dark Attraction to get on sale in Malaysia from October

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2019 Yamaha MT-07 gets an update and has been introduced in Malaysia. The latest iteration of the two-wheeler will be known as MT-07 Dark Attraction and will hit the market by the end of October 2018.

The Yamaha MT-07 Dark Attraction derives its required power from a 689 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin Crossplane power plant, which is very much capable of churning out around 73.7PS of power at 9,000 rpm along with 68 Nm of peak torque, coming at 6,500 rpm.

The power is sent to the wheel with the help of a six-speed gearbox. Moreover, the braking duties are enhanced with the presence of dual-channel ABS. On paper, the Yamaha MT-07 Dark Attraction gets two 282 mm disc brakes at the front, while only a single 245 mm disc is present at the rear. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.

The suspension settings have also been now revised in the 2019 Yamaha MT-07 Dark Attraction as it now comes with a new rear shocker having rebound damping adjustment.

The all-new MT-07 is available in two colour options where the Race Blue will be available from October 2018 itself while you will have to wait till January 2019 to get hold of the arrival of the grey colour. Upon purchasing an MT-07, the buyers will get an exclusive stainless steel disc brake lock from Yamaha.

The 2019 Yamaha MT-07 Dark Attraction will be having a starting price of RM 38,288 which includes the new sales and service tax. However, registration and insurance fee is not included in the above-mentioned figure. It will compete against the segment leader and its direct rival, the Kawasaki Z650, which is, interestingly, priced at RM35,609.
