2019 KTM XC-W, EXC, EXC-F and EXC-F Six Days range launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: KTM, after transforming the off-road motorcycle scene in Malaysia in 2016, now has announced and launched their Enduro range for 2019. For enduro racers and trail riders, KTM offers seven models in this 2019 range. It consists of lightweight 125 XC-W to the ground-breaking 300 EXC TPI two-stroke and also the agile 250 EXC-F to the extremely powerful 500 EXC-F. The Six Days Edition is also upgraded for the 2019 range including the 250 EXC TPI Six, 250 EXC-F and 450 EXC-F.

When KTM introduced the marvels, 250 EXC TPI and 300 EXC TPI, they completely rewrote the rules for two-stroke engines. Fuel is directly injected into the transfer ports of the Transfer Port Induction (TPI) engine via a pair of injectors. Lubricating oil’s supply is regulated electronically and unlike usual two-stroke engines it is not pre-mixed, but pumped by an oil pump.

The ECU automatically modulates the two-stroke engine as they are sensitive to differences in air pressure and temperature, fuel and premix supply. KTM’s TPI engines are not only the most powerful in its segment but with the use of technology are less polluting as well. Fuel-injected engines on the 450 EXC-F and 500 EXC-F are the most compact in their segment and yet produce a humungous amount of torque.

Fully-adjustable WP suspension specially developed for enduro riding and competition is now available on the entire 2019 KTM enduro range. These amazing WP XPLOR 48 upside-down units at the front and a WP XPLOR PDS rear shock are tuned for damping excellence and resist bottoming out. For the EXC-F range, KTM now offers on-the-fly Traction Control as an option, but the same is included as a standard fitment on all Six Days models. All the 2019 enduro range will feature new and bolder KTM’s READY TO RACE spirit graphics.
