Honda CBR250R 2018 - Five reasons why it is one of the best bikes
Honda CBR250R is definitely a performance and quality benchmark for its respective segment of sports bikes. We often hear people talking about their long rides on this impressive machine and how the bike made their journeys a memorable one.
However, one drawback that the bike had was the old VFR referred design and we do not have any idea why Honda had to halt its production. But we do expect the CBR250R to return with a bang.
Here are five features why CBR250R should make a comeback:
Impressive next-gen design
The design concept of the upcoming bike is pretty impressive when compared to the old CBR250R and CBR150R. The upcoming 250R model houses a twin headlight design that was first seen back in 2015 and it still looks killer. The CBR150R will come with LED lights and a sharp front edge.
Enhanced performance and upgraded features
The new CBR250R offers a power of 28.6 bhp at 9000 rpm and 23 Nm at 7500rpm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission and marks a top speed of 145 kmph. There is enhanced fairing included in the next-gen version of the bike.
The latest CBR250R also offers a better balancing power and torque, while the new design concept, better brakes, and LED lights make it a better performer than before. Previously customers had lost interest in the CBR250 because of better options within the same range. However, the next-gen model could win the market again.
BSIV Compliant version
Honda had stopped producing the CBR250R and CBR150R after the arrival of BSIV emission norms. However, according to a recent report from an insider, Honda is likely to bring out upgraded versions of the CBR150R and CBR250R back into the competition, this time with BS-IV compliant engines. The updated CBR250R will be available in major dealerships within two months while the CBR150R will take another month.
Four new color variants
The design concept of the Honda CBR250R remains mostly unchanged from the previous version. However, the updated bike is now available with a new range of color schemes. It is now available in Black, Pearl Amazing White and Sports Red color. The aesthetics are powered by the sporty looking decals on the fuel tank. Other counterparts including the alloy wheels, engine, belly pan, and silence guard are all painted in black.
Anti-lock braking system
The CBR 250R is available in two variants in Malaysia, non-ABS and ABS. Both the models have a 296 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc. The fuel tank capacity is 13 litre and it is decent enough for a 250 cc bike that has a weight of 167 kg.
The motorbike is available in 5 different variants in Malaysia including the newly introduced REPSOL version.
