Let’s check out a brief on these upcoming Chinese EVs -

Starting with the Atto 3, this is a C-segment SUV that will rival the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric in the local market. The EV is already available in neighbouring markets like Singapore and Thailand, where it comes equipped with a front-wheel-drive electric motor that makes 204 PS of maximum power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The motor is tied with a 60-kWh battery pack, which helps the EV to run for 420 km on a single charge. In terms of performance, it runs from nought to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds.

Design-wise, the upcoming BYD Atto 3 looks sophisticated with a closed front chrome grille, sleek and modern LED headlights, and sharp design lines. Inside, it is kitted with futuristic elements like an aircraft-inspired gear lever, guitar-like strings on the doors, dumbbell-inspired AC vents, and more. The EV will have a 5.0-inch multi-info instrument cluster display and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Moving to the BYD e6, this is an electric MPV that is similar to the Toyota Innova in size. Available in Thailand, Singapore, and India, the EV is powered by a 95 PS/180 Nm electric motor and a 71.7 kWh battery pack providing a WLTP-claimed driving range of 415 km.

The MPV boasts a  contemporary and minimalist exterior with a ‘Dragon Face’ front end housing distinctive nose styling, swept-back headlights, and LED daytime running lights. Inside the cabin lies a 5.0-inch TFT instrument display, a free-standing 10.1-inch infotainment system, a few buttons on the console, an electronic parking brake, automatic air-conditioning and more.
