Three GAC SUVs coming soon to Malaysia
Chinese automaker GAC Motor is set to shake up the local SUV landscape. The brand has just previewed not only one but three SUVs that are earmarked to launch in the local market this year. The list includes - ICE-powered B-segment SUV GS3 Emzoom, ICE-powered C-segment SUV Emkoo, and C-segment SUV Aion Y Plus.
GAC GS3 EMZOOM open for booking
Chinese compact SUV, GAC GS3 EMZOOM is now open for booking in Malaysia. Interested buyers are required to pay a booking fee of RM 1,000. The car is offered in two variants - Exclusive and Premium-R. Powering it is a 1.5T GDI engine, producing 177PS at 5500 rpm and 270 Nm at 1,400 rpm.
Price confirmed for all-new 2024 BMW X5
The all-new BMW X5 was introduced in Malaysia in earlier Jan, however back then prices were kept under wraps. But recently BMW announced the SUV's price tag which reads RM 528,100 (including a 5-year extended warranty and service package). The locally-assembled xDrive50e M Sport is a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine making a maximum power of 313 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm. Also, part of the setup is an electric motor making 197 PS and 280 Nm. Together the setup generates 489 PS and 700 Nm.
2024 Mazda CX-5 facelift arrives in Malaysia
The all-new Mazda CX-5 was launched in Malaysia recently with its price ranging from RM 144,469 - to RM 188,760. The car is offered in five trim options namely 2.0G 2WD Mid, 2.0G 2WD High, 2.5G 2WD High, 2.2D 2WD High, and 2.5G AWD High. Both the EVs will underpin the STLA Medium platform that utilizes a 400-volt electric architecture and can accommodate a battery of up to 98 kWh. The platform will provide a WLTP-claimed best-in-class range exceeding 700 km. With the introduction of the new EVs, the company's EV range will comprise a total of nine passenger vehicles and three light commercial vehicles.
