Volvo introduces its certified damage repair centre in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia, the official distributor of Volvo cars in the country has introduced for the first time ever its dedicated body paint and repair service centre. Called the Volvo Certified Damage Repair Centre (VCDR), this facility will help customers with supreme body repair and paint jobs.

As of now, the automaker has introduced the VCDR facility at two locations -

• Federal Auto Cars, Glenmarie
• Sime Darby Swedish Auto, Ara Damansara

Present during the official launch of VCDR at the above-mentioned locations was the Head of Volvo Cars APEC, Nick Connor and Charles Frump, Managing Director of Volvo Car.

At the event, Nick Connor said, “We are very happy to be able to witness the milestones that Volvo Car Malaysia has achieved thus far.” He further added, “From the implementation of global’s electrification strategy to selling out the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, here we are today, launching Volvo Car’s VCDR to further realise our vision in offering the highest standards of after-sales care to our customers. We are very happy that through the investment made by our partners, Malaysia is now the second country in the region to introduce VCDR.”

Charles Frump said, “We want our customers to walk away with a Volvo car in complete peace of mind knowing that we are ready to provide them with Volvo’s international standard of care for their vehicles. By introducing VCDR within our dealer network, it enables our customers to enjoy vehicles that provides them a lifelong lifespan.”

Key highlights of VCDR centre -

• Enhanced customer after-sale service
• Offers quick and efficient paint and body repair service
• Ensures overall business agility thanks to cost-effective resource management
• High-end repair quality via the use of advanced tools and equipment
• Strict adherence to standard Volvo practices and procedures
• Use of sustainable technology like a low-pressure ventilation system with automatic controls which ensures low CO2 and microscopic emission along with reduced energy consumption
• Use of water-based paint instead of Volatile Organic Compounds, thus reducing employee’s exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Equipped with the latest technology and trained technicians
• Both the facilities measure 11,133 sq feet and can handle 1,260 vehicles annually
