Volkswagen Malaysia showrooms resume full operations, adhere to #SafeHands protocol

KUALA LUMPUR: In line with the National Recovery Plan (NRP) by the Malaysian government, the automotive sector is opening up for operations. After Toyota and Lexus, we now hear Volkswagen showrooms have resumed operations.

Volkswagen Malaysia dealerships have resumed full business operations are - Klang Valley, Ipoh, Seremban, Kota Kinabalu, and Juru. A few VW showrooms like Johor, Kelantan, Melaka, Kedah, and Pahang, missing from the list as they still await approval.

In light of the potential COVID risk that is still there, VW Malaysia will adhere to strict Government guidelines along with #SafeHands measures. Under which both the employees and visitors will have to follow the safety protocols which include - MySejahtera check and temperature scans, regular sanitisation, mandatory mask usage, and more.

Furthermore, VW will only be entertaining fully vaccinated visitors. In case you haven't received your shot yet, you can visit the showrooms 14 or 28 days after completing your vaccination.

“The closure of showrooms in the past months have affected our business performance, but we look forward to seeing the industry reopen and move forward, together with the support of our dealers,” said Erik Winter, VPCM Managing Director.

Besides, VPMC is also hosting a virtual showroom event on its social media channels this 27th to 31st August. Why? Well, it is in conjunction with the reopening of the showrooms and the upcoming Merdeka holidays. And so, in light of these celebrations, the automaker is also offering exclusive online savings from now until 31st August.

Speaking of which customers heading towards online means will save RM 4,500 on the Tiguan Allspace Highline and RM 7,500 on the Passat R-Line.
