Volkswagen ID.7 gets a pretty smart air-conditioning system; check the details

KUALA LUMPUR: Everyone in the automotive industry is excited about the VW ID.7 which is scheduled to make its world premiere in Q2 of 2023. What however makes the deal more exciting is the upcoming all-electric ID. family members will benefit from a smart air-conditioning system.

Here are a few key highlights about the ID.7’s air-con system -

• The cockpit will feature intelligent control for the vents that can be used to either direct the airflow to specific body areas or distribute air over a large area
• It is the first of its kind system to perform faster cooling/ heating before the commencement of the journey
• As soon as the driver approaches with the key the electronically controlled air vents will be activated

• The system also reacts to voice commands
• The automated air-con system took into account the sun’s position via a sensor attached to the windscreen, to detect sunlight incident angle. If the sun is shining strongly, the system adapts to a greater extent; firstly by targeting the respective cabin area followed by the occupants
• Individual user preferences are considered by the system very well

All this will make the VW ID.7 electric saloon even more comfortable and set high standards in its class.

Speaking of ID.7, after ID.4 it will be the second model in the ID. family to be based on the modular electric drive matrix.
