Vehicle sales statistics by brand for October 2015
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) recently announced the brand wise vehicle sales data in the month of October 2015. The October sales looked pretty positive at the year's end as compared to the plummeting figures in the past months. This month it has rise to 55,754 units which is noted to be a huge improvement with 4,648 units juxtaposed to the September’s sales figures as a whole.
The leader of the chart this month remained the national carmaker Perodua showing a remarkable growth of 19.5% with 17,305 units of vehicles sold, as compared to the 14,479 units in September. Proton, however, slipped by a margin of 8% following Honda and Toyota. Proton sold 8,026 units this month which was quite lower than its last month's performance which was 8,723 units.

Toyota and Honda showed remarkable improvement this month moving past Proton showing growth of 14% and 13.1% against last month's performance. Toyota remained on the second position with a mammoth sale of 9,000 units, whereas Honda settled with a sale of 8,504 units.
Nissan and Mazda didn't show any improvement both the brands maintained their earlier positions. However, a great improvement was observed in the Ford's stats. The American carmaker was performing a lot poorer that Mercedes-Benz and Isuzu in the past months and now have surpassed both of them showing an improvement of 29.9% with 1,096 units sold in October. A positive inclination was also observed in Lexus climbing 27.4% on the charts with a sale of 200 units.
The biggest improvement was observed in Renault and Porsche juxtaposed to their last month's performances. Renault marked a growth of 72.7% with 57 units sold and Porsche gained 86.2% with 54 units sold this month.
The German carmakers were not left behind in the Malaysian market as well. Mercedes-Benz remained on the numero uno spot, however, a slight drop in performance was observed against its previous month's performance. Still, MB's sale of 946 units was well enough to leave behind its German competitor BMW with a sale of only 724 units. Audi followed both of them maintaining a decent performance with 138 units sold in October 2015.
