UMW Toyota reports February 2022 sales, offers benefits up to RM 4,000 this month
KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota has announced its sales number for February 2022 and as expected the brand continues to see positive performance in the second month of the year. It sold a total of 6,366 Toyota-badged and 66 Lexus-badged models with a noticeable increase of 27% and 48%, respectively, over the same month in 2021.

UMW Toyota has been in the headlines throughout the month. It launched the all-new Camry featuring striking looks, advanced features, and a new 2.5 Dynamic Force engine coupled with a new Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission to prove its dominance in the segment. The new sedan is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture Platform (TNGA). It is priced at RM 199,110 (on-the-road without insurance).
UMWT also started a new 2S outlet with Body & Paint services in Skudai, Johor last month. For this outlet, the company teamed up with Super Evergreen (Nusajaya) Sdn Bhd to serve the increasing number of Toyota owners in the state.
The company also donated a contribution of RM 140,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) in February for the purchase of a new Digital Doppler Ultrasound Machine that will offer better treatment to cancer patients.
Last month, UMW Toyota also announced the winners of the 15th Dream Car Art Contest that bagged over 2,300 entries. The three winners of this contest will now represent Malaysia in the ‘World Contest’ that will be held in Japan in August 2022. This annual contest is a part of the brand’s social contribution initiatives, which started in 2004 to nurture the creativity of young minds all around the world.
