KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota has revealed its sales performance for March and the first quarter of 2024. The leading Japanese automaker sold a total of 9,688 units during the third month of the year, including 9,471 units of Toyota and 217 units of Lexus vehicles. This has propelled UMW Toyota's year-to-date sales as of March 2024 to 23,444 units, reflecting the brand's continued market strength and consumer appeal.

    As a part of its broader commitment to carbon neutrality, the automaker handed over the hydrogen fuel-cell-powered Toyota Mirai to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) to support and demonstrate the viability, efficiency, and practicality of hydrogen-powered mobility solutions for the nation. This move aligns with the nation’s Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap (HETR). 

    The handing over event was honoured by the presence of YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister, who took the test drive of the Toyota Mirai, alongside YB Chang Lih Kang, Minister of MOSTI.

    UMW Toyota has started accepting orders for the all-new Hiace SLWB (Super Long Wheelbase). Designed for businesses and large families, the new 10-seater window is priced at RM 169,000. The Hiace SLWB comes with an extended wheelbase of 3,860 mm, offering a generous interior space for both passengers and cargo.

    Rolled out ‘Kegembiraan Aidilfitri Bersama Toyota’ promo for April 2024

    To spread joy and celebrate the festive spirit of Aidilfitri, UMW Toyota has also announced the "Kegembiraan Aidilfitri Bersama Toyota" promo for April 2024. It offers 100% financing for selected models and promotional savings, up to RM 7,500 for the Yaris. The Toyota Service Savers program also provides the option of convenient monthly payments, starting as low as RM 31.
