Toyota aims at an annual BEV sales target of 3.5 million units by 2030, which is up from the 2 million unit target determined by the automaker earlier this year.
  • The previewed electric concepts comprise sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, off-roaders, a pickup truck, sports cars as well as commercial vehicles. It includes a range of bZ (Beyond Zero) models based on the e-TNGA platform. Of which, the company has already introduced the Toyota bZ4X crossover SUV earlier this year. Alongside them, Toyota also showcased some models that seem to be the electric equivalents of the current models like a pickup truck resembling the Tundra and an SUV looking similar to the FJ Cruiser.

The upcoming Lexus electric vehicles will also be based on the same architecture with higher comfort and performance levels, says Toyota. The debut of the first Lexus EV, the RZ crossover, is slated for next year.

Beyond passenger vehicles, Toyota also teased some commercial mobility solutions such as Micro Box and Mid Box, the former could be a last-mile mobility solution, while the latter is expected to be a goods carrier for the city.

With these concepts hitting the roads, Toyota aims at an annual BEV sales target of 3.5 million units by 2030, which is up from the 2 million unit target determined by the automaker earlier this year.
