With a focus on affordability and modularity, the Toyota IMV 0 previews a global production truck that is “over a year away”, confirmed Toyota’s president, Akio Toyoda.

“I truly believe this is a product that can enhance the quality of life for many people and provide new economic opportunities,” he said. The product is the rigourous efforts of the research & development team which spent several months on the ground to observe the needs and lifestyles of potential owners. Included in the team were designers and engineers from Thailand, Japan, and Australia.

In terms of design, the Toyota IMV 0 concept features a retro-inspired look with squared-out elements and upright sections. Upfront, we can notice a black upper trim enclosing the grille and LED headlights mated to a modern-styled bumper. Among the other key exterior, highlights are handles on the bonnet, modular roof rails, black trimming around the doors, blacked-out windows, and small-diameter alloy wheels.
